Sauti ya Dada Cohort 4 Impact Numbers

Sauti ya Dada Cohort 4 graduated! The cohort launched in 2024 and included 240 girls from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda.

The data, drawn from our midpoint and endpoint surveys, shows consistent growth across the three areas the program focuses on: confidence and leadership, health and rights, and climate justice.

A few highlights:

• 99% of girls stayed enrolled in school (compared to a regional average of 23%)

• 58% held a leadership position by program end

• Girls who knew how to take action on climate change nearly doubled, from 54% to 92%

• Girls who said they could decide for themselves when to marry rose from 57% to 81%
