The Challenge
Family conflict gets in the way of girls' education. When relationships between parents and teens are strained, girls struggle to focus on school and fall behind. This CAP pushed parents to become more accountable and engaged, and invited the whole community to work together to support girls.
The Action
• Girls created a mural illustrating the impact of family conflict and the importance of education
• Performed skits showing healthy parent-teen relationships and their positive effects on girls' wellbeing
• Called on parents to actively engage in economic activities so they could better support their families
• Encouraged community members to work collaboratively to identify and address shared challenges
• Emphasized that girls' wellbeing depends on parents taking full responsibility for their care
