Preventing Teen Pregnancy and School Drop-out

The Rafiki girls club identified teenage pregnancies and school dropout amongst adolescent girls as pressing issues in their school. With the support of a local mural artist, they led a workshop to reflect on the impact these issues have in their communities. They painted a mural to illustrate the root causes of teen pregnancy and how it affects girls.

Family and community members attended an opening event and made public commitments afterwards to encourage girls to stay in school and to educate girls on sexual and reproductive health.
