An Update on COVID-19
Updated: 3 days ago
Dear Creative Action Community, As we find ourselves in this alternate universe, grappling with the health and safety concerns presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Creative Action Institute team is focused on identifying how best we can safely and effectively continue to support our partners. We have temporarily suspended all in-person summits and trainings while we brace ourselves for the unknown course of this virus. Our global team will increase its outreach and coaching support to our partners during this period and we welcome you to reach out to our team to schedule a call. This is a great time for learning and planning! In an effort to continue to provide meaningful spaces for girls and women to convene, connect and develop their leadership and advocacy skills, we are currently analyzing how we might offer our services virtually, until we can resume our normal activities. For our environmental leaders, we are adapting our leadership and advocacy courses to an online format as creatively as possible so that we can continue to provide spaces for meaningful collaboration and connection. We will be in touch to communicate our revised services with dates as soon as is possible. The Creative Action Institute team has been operating as a virtual team for many years, and we have learned several strategies that can support productive virtual collaboration. As a gift to our wider community, we will be offering a free webinar that highlights our insights on how to nurture and inspire virtual teams for optimal collaboration. Stay tuned! We are hopeful that this crisis will continue to bring out the best in our communities and help us to shift our broken systems so that we can all thrive. With all of you, we are navigating unknown territory, striving to see the roles each of us can play to create the sustainable and equitable world we envision. May you, and your families and friends, stay well!
In solidarity, and hope for better days,
Clare Dowd Executive Director Creative Action Institute
