Creative Action Institute (CAI) has officially launched, kicking off our transformation with a party hosted by the Rafius Fane Gallery in SOWA May 21.
The new name reflects the expanded scope of CAI’s work to include a systematic transfer of knowledge and skills to organizational partners – making possible the replication of creative strategies in support of environmental and social change. ArtCorps, as CAI was previously known, will remain as the community engagement program of CAI - Field Artists directly supporting partner initiatives with arts-based community projects.
ABOUT CAI Creative Action Institute works at the intersection of creativity and social change. CAI builds the capacity of organizations for innovation, collaboration and resilience to advance conservation, health and human rights globally through original initiatives, experiential training and collaborative projects that harness the power of art and creative processes. We partner with organizations committed to social and environmental justice to help them realize their full potential as critical agents of change. For the first time, we are initiating projects beyond Central America and the U.S. into East and West Africa. The end goal of our programs continues to be vibrant communities working together for social equality and protected ecosystems for future generations.
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: Creative Action Institute offers innovative capacity building workshops to organizations in the Boston area and beyond. Contact us email@example.com or 978.998.7994.
